Spotted Lantern Fly Control Plan Details

Details For Spotted Lantern Fly Control Plan

Early detection is the key! Thur-0 has had great success detecting and controlling this invasive pest in 2019 and we will continue our proven methods this year.

We highly recommend a six-month control program which encompasses control of every life stage of the spotted lantern fly.

May – Identify affected trees on your property {primarily but not solely maple, birch, willow and ailanthus)
and remove and destroy all visible egg masses.
June and July – Monthly foliar/trunk spray applications to trees and shrubs to control nymph instars.
August,September and October – Monthly bark, trunk spray applications to trees and shrubs to eliminate adult activity and curtail egg laying.

*At time of each treatment we will avoid all plants and flowering stage to protect honeybees and other pollinating insects.
